Just how does it work?

There are many different styles of staircase. For this question we will assume a standard staircase with both sides closed.

Firstly, after all existing material has been stripped from the staircase, we will begin the process of preparation.

Wooden staircases will be checked over, screwed down and adhesive applied to try and eliminate movement and help re-strengthen the overall finish

Concrete staircases may need to be built up depending on the severity of each steps’ wear.

Next, if required, the side strings are overlayed with  your chosen material.

Then starting at the bottom, the risers and treads are carefully cut to size and adhered to the existing staircase. All treads are made up, in ONE piece (our Unique design method) of SOLID wood, this benefits long term wear and creates an overall aesthetic appearance.

Landings are fitted with solid wood to match in with the treads, much the same as a room would be fitted.

Finally, any capping's and trims are installed to finish off your staircase.

As our products are prefinished, once your staircase has been completed, you can use it almost immediately

That’s it, your staircase, overhauled, rejuvenated and ready to use.
